Note: If you receive a notification on Missing Signal Execution due to IB Gateway Disconnected and wish to execute manually, refer to this article
AFTER you completed the steps below. If you only receive IB Gateway Disconnected message (no Missing Signal Execution), please continue with the step below and skip the above link.
AutoInvest disconnection during weekends and non-trading hour is normal, typically lasts for short duration and it is expected to reconnect automatically. However, if the disconnection happens during weekday or trading hours, or if you have turned on your 2FA, you might need to reconnect manually.
Login to www.algomerchant.com
- In your 'Dashboard', please click on 'Access Your VM' at the right hand corner to navigate into your Virtual Machine.
There are many possible screens in your VM you may encounter.
If you see a pop up from IB Gateway requiring you to 'Re-Login', please do so. Then, click 'Reconnect' at your 'AutoInvest Dashboard'.
If you see this pop up prompting you to log in, just key in your username and password of your Interactive Brokers account. Then, click 'RECONNECT' on the 'AutoInvest Dashboard'.
If you do not have those screens as above, it could be that your IB Gateway application has exited. Please click on the icon as indicated below on the taskbar and log in accordingly.
Then, click 'Reconnect' on the AutoInvest Dashboard.
